Everest Helicopter Tour - Itinerary

1.  Kathmandu to Syanboche  Helicopter Tour
Duration: 2 ½ hours
Cost: $4200
Start-End: Kathmandu to Kathmandu
We start our helicopter tour from Tribhuwan International Airport to Syangboche exploring the Langtang range of mountains and Kathmandu valley. From here, we’ll trek to Everest View Hotel which takes 20 minutes from Syangboche, a famous point to view Mt. Everest. We’ll have breakfast and then return to Syanboche for a return flight to Kathmandu.

2. Kathmandu to Kalapatthar  Helicopter Tour
Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $5000
Start-End: Kathmandu to Kathmandu
Kalapatthar lies in Mt. Everest region, which means black rock in Nepali word. It is also the famous route in Everest region trekking as well as for Heli tour. It is around 5643m high from sea level but the fix height hasn’t been declared yet. Magnificent views of Mt. Everest, mt Nuptse, mt Pumori and mt Ama Dablam can be seen along with the entire Views of Khumbu Himalayan range from kala pathar. In December 2009, former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and other Nepali Cabinet held a short meeting in Kalapatthar in subject of climate change. We fly back to Kathmandu after Visiting Kalapatther.

3.  Kathmandu to  Gorakshep Helicopter Tour

Gorakshep is a homeland of Sherpa people which is at the height of 5164m from sea level and near from Mt. Everest. It is a gateway for summiting Kalapatthar. Many peaks like Nuptse, Kalapatthar, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Island Peak and so many others peaks can be seen from Gorakshep. Our Heli Tour takes starts from Tribhuwan International Airport and we’ll fly via Namche Bazar to reach Gorakshep. Spending 10 minutes on Gorakshep with fabulous views of peaks and taking pictures, we fly back to Kathmandu flying above mountains and beautiful landscapes.

4. Kathmandu to Gokyo Helicopter Tour ( 3 hours)

Gokyo (5357m from sea level) is a peak which lies in Khumbu region of Nepal.  It is a famous trekking route under Everest Base Camp trekking which allows close up view of Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Lhoste, and Everest and on a clear day Makalu. At the base of Gokyo, there is a settlement of few stone houses recorded as highest people living valley in the world. Our Helicopter tour starts from Tribhuwan International Airport flying via Namche Bazar and lands in Gokyo.  We fly back to Kathmandu after having awe-inspiring views of mountains which will not make your first visit as a last visit.

5.  Kathmandu to Lukla Helicopter Tour (1 hour) from Lukla and return Kathmandu by plane (1 hour up and down)

About 1 hour of flight over clouds, mountains, lakes and glacier will take you to starting point for Everest Base Camp trekking and gateway to Mera Peak. Lukla is a famous tourist town which lies in Solukhumbu district, 2860m above from sea level. It holds small airport known as Tenzing Hillary airport which is known as one of the most dangerous airports in the world. After visiting Lukla, we fly back to Kathmandu.
