Hiking tours means walking longer distances through less frequented paths. But this may not be essentially true as some hikes last just about a few hours while others could take days on end. Some people hike for weeks or even months. Walking is not only one of the best forms of exercise but is also a means to rejuvenate oneself by taking pleasure in the walk itself and the beautiful surroundings. Hiking is a way to communicate with the nature.
Hiking in Nepal is very popular among both domestic and international tourists. The hills of Nepal are best suited for hiking and offer stunning views of the mountains and valleys. Along the way, you also get to introduce yourself with the culture of local people. There are many areas in and around the Kathmandu valley that are suitable for short hikes.
We can organize hikes to Kakani, Nagarkot, Phulchowki and Nagarjun that are quite close to the valley. Kakani is famous for panoramic view of mountains like Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal etc. From Nagarkot, you can see the beautiful Himalayan ranges and catch glimpses of Everest, Makalu, Manaslu etc. Phulchowki, the small peak and can be climbed in about 4 hours by an enthusiastic climber. Nagarjun which is just about 10 km from the center of Kathmandu has a Buddhist Shrine at its top that takes a 20 minute hike to reach from the base.
Besides, we also conduct hikes to Dhulikhel, Daman, Pokhara, Sarankot, Gorkha and Tansen.
