Chulu east peak is a relatively smaller peak and along with the Chulu west, it forms an important part of the Manang Himal. The Manang Himal is a part of the Damodar Himal. The Chulu east peak was first climbed in 1955 by a German expedition group. They had taken the north eastern ridge and traditionally, this ridge is more popular even till this day. Although being difficult, this trip provides a real sense of adventure.

Climbers may be confused about the location of the Chulu East Peak and the Chulu West Peak. There are 4 other peaks in the range between these two peaks that aren’t marked properly in the maps of the area. So by pure mistake, many climbers may climb one of these other peaks believing it to be the Chulu East or Chulu West Peak. The Chulu East and Chulu West peaks promise an exceptional view of the beautiful mountain ranges. These two peak climbs along with the Annapurna circuit trek or the Lobuche Peak climb will give an all round trekking experience in the Himalayas.
