Annapurna base camp trekking is among the most popular trekking region in Nepal. Also referred to as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, it starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara from where the actual trek begins. This trek allows you to view the beautiful mountain ranges, rural heritages and more.

The trek is suitable for trekkers of all kinds as it is relatively easier than other demanding ones. Our Annapurna base camp trek is especially designed for those who want to enjoy the flourishing flora and fauna in the region, Annapurna mountain range and closely observe the local culture. The best season for the trek is the spring season when rhododendrons dominate the whole forests with their pink, red and white hues. The trek will take you to two of the well known base camps namely the Annapurna base camp and Machhapuchare base camp. You will get to see Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli Peak, Lamjung Himal etc. that are a sight to behold.

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking - Itinerary

Day-1: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, Yuuki Trek’s representative will receive you at the airport with your name card and then escorting up to the Hotel. Welcome drink with short briefing about trip in the hotel and relax for remaining day

.Day-2:-Drive to Pokhara (865 meters) (6 to 7 hour)

Yuuki’s Trekking staff will come to your Hotel to pickup. Early drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (865 meters) by bus/car. On the way to Pokhara, one can enjoy the local fish in Malekhu along with beautiful scenery of local villages, mountains, green forest and Trisuli River.  Pokhara is regarded as travel destination of Nepal with full of natural beauty. One can enjoy the spectacular view of Phewa Taal (lake), David’s falls, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges etc in Pokhara.

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul (1070m) by car/bus & hike to Hille (1480m) (3 to 4hours)

Early next morning, a private car will take you to Nayapul after an hour driving from Pokhara. Hiking to Hille (1480m) begins from Nayapul alongside Modi Khola River through small villages of  Birethanti and Sudame.  The trek continues with the uphill way to Hille exploring the natural beauty of Annapurna region. Overnight stay at guesthouse in Hille with breakfast and dinner included.

Day-4: Trek to Ghorepani (2876m) via Ulleri (6 to 7 hours)

After having breakfast, Hiking continues towards Ghorepani through uphill way with stone steps (about 3300 steps)) until we reach Ulleri. Ulleri is a Magar village with hotels and lodges at 2070m.Hiking through dense forest of rhododendron, oak trees uphill from Ulleri leads you to the village of Ghorepani. In Ghorepani, one can experience the majestic views, chipping birds, rhododendron forest, beautiful Gurung villages and many more.  Overnight stay at guesthouse in Ghorepani with breakfast and dinner included.

Day 5: Ghorepani Poonhill to Tadapani (2630m) (6 to 7 hours)

Early morning 4 ‘o’ clock, about 1 hour of Hiking from Ghorepani to Poonhill (3210m). Poonhill is one of the best view points in Nepal. Breathtaking view of sun rise along with view of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Annapurna can be seen from Poonhill. After sunrise view, half an hour walking downhill takes you back to Ghorepani. After breakfast, trek to Tadapani starts with the several ups & downs until Nangethanti for our lunch on the way to Tadapani. In Tadapani, there are 6 hotels and mountains can be seen from 4 of hotels among them. From Tadapani, one can enjoy the closer view of snow capped mountain peaks like Annapurna south and fishtail. Overnight stay at guesthouse in Tadapani with breakfast and dinner included.

Day 6:  Tadapani to Chomrong (2170m)(5 to 6 hours)

From Tadapani, trekking to Chomrong continues through the downhill forest until reaching village of Gurung where we will have lunch. Then, we take uphill way to Chomrong from Gurung village. Chhomrong is a beautiful Gurung village located on the lap of giant Annapurna with the view of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail). Overnight at tea house at Chomrong

Day 7:  Chomrong to Bamboo (2245m) (5 to 6 hours)

Early morning, our trail starts with ups and down way to Sinuwa for lunch. After crossing Sinuwa, items of meats are restricted due to holy belief of peoples on god. From Sinuwa, downhill way through the dense forest leads you to Bamboo. Bamboo is located in middle of the forest with few hotels.  Overnight in Bamboo.

Day 8:  Bamboo to Deurali (3280m) (5 to6 hours)

From bamboo, our trek start with uphill climb to Deurali through the rhododendron, oak and bamboo forest alongside flowing streams. After Passing through uphill resting point’s Dovan and Himalaya Hotel, we reach hanging rock known as Hinko Cave, on the way to Deurali. Paranomic view of Macchapuchre (fishtail) can be observed from Deurali. Avalanche often occurs in this trail.  Overnight in Deurali

 Day 9: Deurali to A.B.C (4130m)(6 to 7 hours)

The day begins with climb to Machhapuchhre base camp (3900 meters) experiencing the view of snows and mountains. Machhapuchhre base camp is a resting point. Beautiful views of Machhapuchre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiuchuli and Barah Shikhar can be experienced from Machhapuchhre base camp.   From Machhapuchhre base camp, trek continues to Annapurna base camp through uphill way alongside small streams which comes from mount Annapurna. After the arrival in Annapurna base camp, Beautiful sunset and sunrise view can be experienced along with the view of Glacier and mountains like Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Macchapuchre, Himchule etc.  Overnight in A.B.C.

Day 10: A.B.C to Bamboo

Early Morning, after enjoying the Breathtaking Sunrise view from Annapurna base camp, we will take breakfast before trekking back down hill to Dovan through the same route which will be much easier. After walking through the riverbed surrounded by mountains, we reach Deurali. From there, Passing through a thick bamboo and rhododendron forests, we reach Dovan. Our trek start with downhill way through the rhododendron, oak and bamboo forest which leads us to Bamboo.  Overnight at Bamboo.

 Day 11: Bamboo to Jhinudada

From Bamboo, we start trekking downhill all the way to Chomrong through Sinuwa to reach Jhinudada, a beautiful place known for natural hot water spring. One can enjoy hot water spring bathing in Jhinudada and relax. Overnight in Jhinu Dada.

 Day 12: Jhinudada to Nayapul, to Pokhara

From Jhinudada, trekking starts descending through Landruk all the way down to Nayapul and a short drive from Nayapul takes you to Pokhara. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

 Day 13: Pokhara to Kathmandu (8 to 7 hours)

Early morning, transfer to Pokhara tourist bus station and drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. Upon the arrival on Kathmandu, Yuuki’s representatives will transfer you to the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 14: Final departure from Kathmandu (1345m)

Yuuki’s representative will transfer to international airport for your final departure.
