Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal lie to the north of Kathmandu. At the foothills of these mountains is an utterly beautiful valley, the Langtang National Park which is bestowed with perks of the nature. This isolated valley is home to the endangered red pandas that recluse in the dense rhododendron forests. Herds of sheep graze on the alpine grasslands in the backdrop of splendid mountain peaks.
The Langtang Gosainkunda trek is a concoction of the scenic beauty offered by the Himalayan range, the hospitable and cultured Tamang and Sherpa people and the beautiful rhododendron forests. This trail through pine and rhododendron forests is less traveled but to a real adventurer, the delight of trudging along these off beaten paths is truly unmatched. This 8 day long trek passes through the religious Gosainkunda lake and the Laurebina pass. Gosainkunda is a very sacred and divine religious heritage for Hindus. You finally descent to Dhunche from where you take a ride back to Kathmandu. The Langtang Gosainkunda trek is a really formidable one and is recommended for all kinds of travelers.
Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking - Itinerary
Day-1: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, yuuki Trek’s representative will receive you at the airport with your name card escorting up to the Hotel.
Rest of the day, Welcome drink with short briefing about trip and relax.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m) by bus
Early morning, Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1467 m.) via Trishuli (Nuwakot) which takes about eight hours. You stay overnight at hotel in Syabrubesi. You head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabru Besi passing through Dhunche. While passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli River you catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. As you pass through Dhunche you feel as if you are heading towards deep land. At the same time, you notice that the road after Betrawati is still under construction.

Day 3: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2560m) (5 to 6 hours)
After the breakfast, Our Trekking starts from Syabrubesi crossing through the Bridge of Trisuli River and follows the Langtang Khola. The trial passes through Pine and Rhododendron Forest.
We hike gradually uphill to the small town Bamboo for lunch through pahiro. The trail is slowly downward to Rimche (2400m.), Located at the bank of Langtang Khola. Our trail comes to an end after reaching Lama Hotel.

Day 4: Lama Hotel to Langtang (3455m) (5 to 6 hours)
Early morning, we continue our trail to langtang village through the rhododendron and pine forest. The trail is slowly up hill. On the way, Breathtaking views of mountains such as Langtang Lirung , Naya kang and some others peaks can be observed. You will have a pleasant walk passing through Gunachok, Thomna and then Ghoratabela where we will stop for lunch.
From there, we walk to Langtang village through Thyangsyap. Langtang is the beautiful village of Tamang peoples. Rest of the day, we can explore the Langtang village.

Day 5: Langtang to Kyangjing Gompa (3817m) (3 to 4 hours)
We start our trek gradually through small villages and yak pastures enjoying beautiful views of mountains. The trail is much easier to Kyangjing Gompa. We reach kyangjing gompa crossing small streams and moraines. From Kyangjing, Beautiful views of Mt Ganchempo, Mt Dorje Larpa (6990m.),mt Langtang Ri (6370m),mt Langtang Lirung (7245m.) and many more mountains are visible. Upon the arrival in kyanhjing gompa, you can visit Yak cheese Factory, Kyanjin Monastery and local village.

Day 6: Kyangjing Gompa to Lama Hotel (2560m)
From Kyangjin, we trek back downhill to Lama Hotel through the same route to the Langtang village through Langtang Khola and then to Ghora Tabela where we stop for lunch. After taking lunch, we trek back down to Lama Hotel.

Day 7: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabrubesi (2228m) (5 to 6 hours)
We begin our trek downhill through same route until we reach Bamboo and then flat way to pahiro. We climb up from pahiro to ThuloSyabru. One could see monkies and various species of birds on the way. Thulo syabrubesi is big Tamang village. Upon the arrival, one can explore the village for rest of the day.

Day 8: Thulo Syabrubesi to Lauribinayak (3500m)(6 to 7 hours)
Early morning, our trek starts from uphill way to Foprang Danda (3200m.) passing through Dursagang (2660m). On the trail, we can observe the view of beautiful mountains and forests of Oak, Hemlock and Firs. We continue our trail through Sing Gompa or Chandan Bari before finally reaching Lauribinak. Upon the arrival in Lauribinak, one can enjoy the magnificent view of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh himal, Dhaulagiri and Langtang Lirung.

Day 9: Lauribinayak to Gosaikunda (4397m) (4 to 5 hours)
From Lauribinayak, our trek continues to Gosaikunda.
After crossing a small ridge and one can experience first views of the holy lakes. There are many lakes in Gosaikunda. Saraswati Kund, Bhairav Kund, Gosaikunda, Dudh Kund (Milk Lake), Chandra kund (Moon Lake) and Ama Kund (Mother Lake) and Ragat Kund (blood kund) are some of them.
According to legend, Shiva created Gosainkunda when he pierced a glacier with his trident (trisul) to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed a poison.
The largest lake is Gosaikunda. Gosaikunda is sacred place of Hindus and Buddhist.

Day 10: Gosaikunda to Thadepati (3610m)
After having breakfast, our trail starts through rocky path before crossing three small lakes to reach lauribinayak, the highest point of this trek. From there, the trail goes downhill to Gopte.
Our trail continues through up and down hill from Gopte, finally ascending through the rhododendron forests to reach Thadepati. One can enjoy the magnificent view of Dorje Lakpa, Shisha panngma and others peaks from Thadepati.

Day 11: Thadepati to Kutumsang (2470m)
The trail gradually descends through pine and rhododendron forests through mangengoth. We can see large stupa and national park check post near kutumsang. One can enjoy the beautiful view of jugal himal from kutumsang. Kutumsang has many lodges and camping grounds.
Overnight in Kutumsang.
Day 12: Kutumsang to Chisapani (2215m) 4 to5 hours.
From kutumsang, Trek to chisapani continues steep downhill to Bhanjyang From there, Trail takes uphill way .On the way, and one can see Langtang range passing through small tamang villages.
Chisapani is famous Hiking point among the tourists. Beautiful view of mt gaurisnkar, manaslu and langtang can be observed from Chisapani.

Day 13: Chisapani to Sundarijal (1410m) (3 hours), to Kathmandu by local bus.
After breakfast, we trek continues down to sundarijal through the forest and some small villages. We can see the large water dam above sundarijal. As soon as we reach sundarijal, we can take a local bus to Kathmandu. About an hour’s driving from Sundarijal brings you to Kathamandu and Rest for the remaining day.

Day 14: Final departure from Kathmandu (1345m)
yuuki’s representatives will transfer to international airport for your final departure.
